If you're like me, you often wonder why people search for what they do. Yes, we can crunch numbers, scrutinize data, meta information and search engine tweaking... but what's that organic human thinking process ? That's what decides what to look for.
So, here's an interesting fact. Magazine readership is on the rise. Yes, more people are picking up glossy magazines or getting subscriptions than ever ! How does this relate to you ? Well, they search for stuff they find in magazines to buy on the Internet, because more often than not, what fashion, decorating, gourmet and specialty magazines feature is many articles, is the new, unusual or both. Not what you get at Wal*Mart.
That translates into an earning opportunity for affiliates. Here's an example that is perfect for bloggers, decor sites, gift sites, craft.. you name it.
Country Living Magazine just featured us and our beautiful
Cavallini Paper in their magazine. (see tear sheet below). Now, although they cite our website as the place to get it (
www.touchofeurope.net), people [like me] want to shop for deals and variety. So as a reader and shopper, I may go to the site mentioned in the magazine, but I am more likely to "search" for that item, particularly the brand or the words the magazine has used and see who/what has it or is talking about it... which is where I hit a lot of interesting blogs and find great sites I never knew about.
You get the idea. So use a banner, some editorial, whatever you like. Be creative and cash in on our good publicity. We have any number of banners and text related to Cavallini or more neutral for
